After T deployed, care packaging got a little more serious. The things I was sending before were, in all honesty, more for my enjoyment than his. It was stuff that he could’ve easily went to Walmart and just got himself. That’s not really the case anymore seeing that hes on a sub these days.
Shopping for Taylor’s birthday present was a piece of cake this year (all puns intended!). Continue reading What’s in my Care Package: Quick and Easy Birthday Edition
I’m not sure I would consider any of Taylor’s schooling to be easy but Prototype has by far been the worst…for both him and me. I’m seriously lucky if I get three texts from him a day because he is either sleeping or working twelve hour shift which is no fault of his own. But I always feel bad. I wish I could do something to help him: Fold his laundry, do the dishes maybe, make a lunch for him. So, I did the next best thing and made a care package.
I’m always a sucker for themed care packages and deciding what theme to do for this one was easy. Every time I ask him how he is he simply replies, “tired.” So, boom. One caffeine care package coming right up.
I JUST realized last weekend that Easter is right around the corner. So, sorry this post is late and probably won’t give anyone much help or advice but I am going to post it anyway!
Unfortunately, me and Taylor won’t be spending our first Valentine’s Day together which I am kind of bummed about. However, I feel lucky to be so in love with such a wonderful man and I am excited to celebrate that!
I decided to keep this care package fairly simple but sweet with a few cute things and then some practical things as well. I didn’t want to go all out because, really, what do you get a guy for Valentine’s Day? I already bought him a bear for Christmas and buying him another stuffed animal seems silly for a 22-year-old boy in the Navy. He doesn’t like flowers. Doesn’t eat too much chocolate. So, I kept it simple.
Instead of doing the usual “What’s in my Purse” or “What’s in my Makeup Bag” I’ve decided to start “What’s in my (whatever the holiday or occasion may be) Care Package”. Since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays I decided to start with that as my first care package post.
