A new TV series called “Four Stars” is in the works at CBS. The series will follow two rival military families in Tampa, Florida that are among the highest ranks. The producers behind the new show are also behind other TV dramas such as “Elementary” and “The Odd Couple.”

Since Tampa is home to U.S. Central Command, Special Operations Command Center, U.S. Special Operations Command, I am sure there will be a lot to go off of when writing the show but I feel kind of ehh about the whole thing. While I love TV dramas I am not so sure about this one. I recently posted my thoughts on “Army Wives” one of my new favorites on Netflix. But I am in love with that show because I can relate. This one I’m not so sure I could find anything of real interest. Two rivaling families in Tampa? In the highest of ranks? I can’t find myself anywhere in that. And I mean, come on now. How many original, great stories can you come up with that we haven’t already heard or seen in a TV drama that involve two rivaling families?

No matter how I feel though I’m obviously going to watch it the night it comes out. I’m just not getting my hopes up. There is not any word yet on when the series will air.

      1. Yep. Like you said Army Wives was alot easier to relate to but I just don’t see many people being able to relate to this show as much. Which might end up being its down fall.

  1. This show sounds like it is going to glamourize the military lifestyle which is not necessarily an accurate depiction of real military spouses/families.. I’m also confused on what these families could be feuding over. Haha thanks for the inside scoop, though – I didn’t know this was even a thing! Haha

    1. THANK YOU. That is exactly what I thought too. I think a lot of people already have the wrong idea about military families and relationships and I think a TV show will make that worse by glamorizing it even more. My thoughts exactly!
